Someone once said that the greatest gift we have is our industry. I seem to be drawn to lives at work and capturing the toil and passion therein, whatever the industry. Their spirit seems to always find its way into my own zeal in the creation of a visual story.

I’m a curious guy. That curiosity led me into the motion picture camera department, college, photojournalism, a couple of stints in Northern Ireland, and all manner of travel far and wide. My subject matter is varied though distinctly outdoors and many times close to the water. Marine work compels me, especially the form and function of boats. For me, there is nothing better than capturing sailors or crew at work in weather we call “fresh to frightening”. I’m fascinated by the work people do and capturing them as they do it. So that curiosity really comes down to people and capturing them doing what compels them, whether that's cooking brisket at a hill country BBQ in south Texas, a tuna boat crew offloading at 2am, or a surfboard shaper finding the perfect line. That industry and passion just furthers my curiosity and becomes an opportunity to capture lives well-lived.
